General information
SYMBOLS IN THE MANUAL
In this manual some symbols are used to attract the reader’s attention and underline some
particularly important aspects that are dealt with.
The table below gives the list and describes the meaning of the dierent symbols used.
SYMBOL MEANING AND NOTES

Danger
It indicates a danger with a risk for accident, even fatal, for the user. Pay
careful attention to text blocks with this symbol.

Warning
It warns against a possible deterioration of the machine or of the user’s
personal items.
F
Note
It shows a warning or note on the key fuctions or useful information.

Additional information
This symbol introduces text blocks containing further information.
Such information are not directly related to the description of a function or
to the development of a procedure.
They may be cross-references to other documents or other sections of this
manual.

Risk of damage
Indicating a high risk of damage for an item, such as using a wrong tool or
assemblilng something in the wrong way.

Visual check
Suggesting the reader to carry out a visual check. This symbol can be also
found in the instructions for use. The user must read a measuring, check a
signal, etc.

Acoustic check
It recommends the reader to carry out an acoustic check. This symbol can
be also found in the instructions for use. The user is required to listen to an
operational noise.
