Charging from your Vehicle
A 12-pin trailer plug is also required. In addition to the standard wiring to pins 1 to 7, power must be supplied to
the number 12 pin for the trigger wire for the DC-DC charger while the engine is running.
The IDC25L is programmed to favour the solar power supply until the supply falls below the minimum
threshold for the controller. By supplying power to the trigger wire through the #12 pin, the unit will
switch mode to favour the supply via the Anderson plug when the tow vehicle engine is running.
Vehicles that have a “smart alternator” require the IDC25L to be activated via the trigger wire for the ECU to
detect the charge requirement of the RV battery.
Lithium Battery System
Your 15 Year Anniversary Edition RV is fitted with a 200Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery system,
replacing the traditional AGM type battery systems.
The factory-fitted charging systems are specifically designed to allow efficient charging, suited to the extreme
power demands of the larger battery, and an internal Battery Management System (BMS), built right into the
battery itself, constantly monitors the battery health including:
Over & Under Voltage
Over & Under Current
Over & Under Temperature
Resistance
Short Circuit
Also fitted, is an external battery monitor display and smart shunt from Projecta, with Bluetooth connectivity,
which allows you to manage and monitor your power usage.
