Maintenance
DO NOT operate this machine until you have read and understood this manual, have
performed the Workplace Inspection, Pre-Start Inspection and Routine Maintenance, and have
completed all the test operations detailed in the Operating Instructions section.
The operator must conduct a Pre-Start Inspection of the machine and test all functions before
each work shift to check for damage, malfunction and unauthorized modication. The inspection is
designed to discover if anything is apparently wrong with a machine before the operator performs the
function tests.
Tag and remove a damaged, malfunctioning or modied machine from service. DO NOT use a
damaged, malfunctioning or modied machine.
Use the Pre-Start Inspection to determine what Routine Maintenance is required. The operator may
perform only the routine maintenance items specied in this manual.
IMPORTANT: Scheduled maintenance inspection checklists are included in this manual for use
only by qualied service technicians. Only qualied service technicians may perform
repairs to the machine. After repairs are completed, the operator must perform a Pre-
Start Inspection before proceeding to the Functions Test.

elevated without rst blocking the scissor assembly with the
Maintenance Lock (see page 18).
Perform scheduled maintenance at recommended intervals. Failure to
perform scheduled maintenance at recommended intervals may result in
a defective or malfunctioning machine and may result in injury or death
of the operator. Keep maintenance records current and accurate.
