DVD SETUP MENUS
GENERAL SETUP MENU:
While in the DVD stop mode OR while in DVD mode and without a DVD inserted,
press the SETUP button 1 once to select the GENERAL SETUP Page, select an
option below using the Navigation (π,†) buttons 2, then select using the Navigation
(
√,®) buttons 2, then select/change the setup option using the Navigation (π,†)

To exit the setup menu, press the SETUP
button 1 twice.
4:3/PS: Select when the unit is connected to an external conventional
TV. Video material formatted in the Pan Scan style is played back in that
style (the left and right edges are cut off).
4:3/LB: Select when the unit is connected to an external normal TV.
Wide-screen images are shown on the screen with a black band at the
top and bottom.
16:9: Select when the unit is connected to an external wide-screen TV.

Select ON to turn the anglemarks on and OFF to turn them
off.
Anglemarks are not available on all DVDs.

TV DISPLAY
ANGLE MARK
Select the desired language (ENGLISH, SPANISH) for the On-
Screen display to display text. Note that the DVD must have
the language included in order to display it.

SPDIF OFF: An analog surround sound format is output through the
rear connectors for two channel audio out or 5.1 channel audio out.
SPDIF/RAW or PCM: This surround sound format is output to a
Dolby Digital/DTS decoder through the coaxial out jack.

OSD LANGUAGE
SPDIF OUTPUT
When this option is set to ON, closed captions will appear
on the screen for the hearing impaired (if originally recorded
on the DVD). When this option is OFF, the closed captions
will not appear.

When this option is set to ON, the screen saver will come on
when the unit stops or the image is paused for
approximately 3.5 minutes.
When this option is OFF, the screen saver will not come on.
