Hardware and firmware version check
This command is used to check the hardware and firmware version of the MEP2L. It's a query-
only command. It answers by synthesized voice and provides four digits hhss, being hh the
hardware version and ss the firmware version. It is useful to know what features are supported
depending on the version.
Auxiliary output
The MEP2L has an optocoupled auxiliary output that allows remote control of external devices
connected to this output. It has several operating modes, which are set according to the
setting of parameter n:
Telephone line signalling (SLT)
Parameter 11 manages the use or non-use of line signalling by the MEP2L for dial-up and hang-
up tasks. By default, the MEP2L has this option enabled, so it waits for a dial tone before
dialling, and hangs up once it receives a busy tone.
Parameter 11 should be set to 0 when the MEP2L is not able to recognize certain dial tones
that are mainly used in private branch exchanges. Incoming call hanging up will be done by
timeout, unless the remote caller sends a force hang up sequence by *0#.
Usually it will not be necessary to set this parameter to 0.
