5.11. 7 Three-phase alternator
- The three-phase alternator must never be disconnected from the batteries
while the vehicle is 1n operation. As long as the engine is running neither an
alternator cable nor a battery terminal clamp must be loosened, removed or
wrongly connected.
- Repairs and inspections on the alternator are to be performed by the skilled
staff members of MERCEDES-BENZ service stations only.
5.11.8 Visual inspection of spark plugs (21 O - 410)
Remove and install spark plugs (provided with sealing cone) only with combina tion
wrench from the vehicle tools or with a recommended spark plug wrench.
Observe tightening torque. Refer to section
5.1.2.
Check spark plug electrode gaps. Renew worn plugs.
