2. Tilt the engine up approximately 45° and lower it. The engine
will now be set to the shallow water setting.

3. Releasing the shallow water setting:
a. Turn the reverse lock lever upward to set them in the lock
position.
b. Tilt up the engine slightly and let it go down. The shallow
water setting is released.
c. The engine is released from shallow water setting, and
locked at normal running position.

Tilt up the engine using the power trim and tilt system.
Trim Adjustment
Trim of the motor can be adjusted to suit the transom angle and
loading conditions of your boat. Be sure to maintain the
anti‑ventilation plate parallel to the water level during cruising.
The following instructions explain how to set the best angle of the
boat.
Proper adjustment allows the boat to run stable, achieve optimum
performance, and minimize steering effort.
