5. Use a bearing puller or a press to remove the
bearing cones from both halves of the
differential case. Figure 2.19.
Drive Pinion
1. Remove and discard the pinion cage O-ring.
Figure 2.20.
2. Remove the outer bearing cup and seal from
the pinion cage. Discard the seal.
3. Use a bearing puller or a press to remove the
inner and outer bearing cones from the drive
pinion.
4. Remove the shim from the drive pinion.
