9.2. Warranty conditions
METASYSgrantsaguaranteeof12-36monthsforspecicproducts(durationofguaranteedependsontheproductaccordingtotheinformationinthecurrent
pricelist).
The guarantee covers all material faults that more than negligibly affect the function of the device. The guarantee does not cover damages caused by incorrect or
improperhandlingaswellasnormalwear.Furthermore,theguaranteedoesnotapplytothereplacementoftheamalgamcollectioncontainerortofragileparts
suchasglass,plastic,hoses,lters,condensateltersormembranes.Anyincurredworkingandtraveltimesareexcludedfromthewarranty.
In order to determine the validity of the guarantee, the installation proof accompanying the device must be returned to METASYS immediately after proper
assemblyhas takenplace.Inthiscase thewarranty periodbegins withcommissioning. Inthe eventof installationwithoutreturningtheinstallation proofto
METASYS,anywarrantyclaimisforfeited.Installationandreturnofinstallationproofmustbecompletedwithin24monthsfromthedateofsalefromMETASYS.
Furthermore,anywarrantyclaimsofthecustomerexpireifonlyoneofthefollowingcircumstancesarises,regardlessofwhetherthecircumstancesariseforthe
customerofMETASYSoralaterowneroroperator:
> Improper installation, operation, maintenance or transport of the device. If METASYS parts have to be returned, the original METASYS packaging must be
usedforshipping.Priortopackagingandshipping,theMETASYSdevicemustbecleanedanddisinfected.Anyopeningswhereresidualuidscouldleak
must be closed.
> Installation and return of installation proof have not been completed in the aforementioned 24 months.
> Failure to send the Installation Proof to METASYS.
> Installation and use of non-original METASYS parts.
> InstallationofthedevicebypersonnelwhoareneithertrainednorauthorizedbyMETASYS.
> Occurrenceofdamagesthroughimproperhandlingandoperationoruseofunapprovedcleaningand/ordisinfectingmaterial,aswellasnon-compliancewith
the instructions for use.
> Execution of repairs by unauthorised repair shops or unathorised personel.
> Failuretocomplywiththeprescribedmaintenanceintervals.Maintenancemustbecarriedout11-12/23-24/35-36monthsafterinstallationoftherespective
METASYS item.
> MissingentriesintheEquipmentLogbookregardingtheinstallationaswellasprescribedservicingbytechnicianstrainedbyMETASYS.
> Failure to take reasonable immediate measures to avoid further damages in the event of a malfunction.
> ShippingofdevicesorcomponentstoMETASYSwithoutproperaccompanyingpaperwork,inparticularwithouterrordescriptionorinvoiceforthepurchase
of the device.
> Failuretoprovidevisualimages(photos,videoclips...)oftheMETASYSitemcomplainedabout,aswellasofitsinstallationsituationandambientconditions.
METASYSreservestherighttodemandthedocumentationsuppliedwiththedevicetocheckthemaintenanceintervalsfortheassertionofwarrantyclaims.The
processingofwarrantyclaimstakesplaceexclusivelyaccordingtothefollowingmethod:
In the event of malfunctions, the device must be opened by an authorized technician, the relevant component taken out and sent to METASYS unopened and
cleaned.Thecustomer sendsthedevice orcomponentinquestiontoMETASYSathisownexpense. METASYScheckswhetherthereis awarrantyclaim.
METASYSwillrepairthedeviceorcomponentifitiscost-effective.Thecustomerischargedforthecostsincurredfortherepair,butnotthereplacementparts
coveredbytheguarantee.TheconsignmentofthedeviceorcomponenttoMETASYSalwaysrepresentsarepairorderforMETASYS.Forcostestimatesforthe
repairofreturneddevices,aprocessingfee*ischargedifthewarrantyperiodhasexpiredornowarrantycaseexists.Forproductsinspectionsonlywithoutanycost
estimatesaprocessingfee*canbecharged.WhensendingthedeviceorcomponenttoMETASYS,anerrordescriptionwithallimportationinformationaboutthe
devicemustalwaysbeincluded.ThecustomerofMETASYSmayonlyprovidepaymentinadvanceafterconsultationwithMETASYS.Onlytheaffectedcomponent
istobesentin(smallestpossibleunit).Ifcontaminated,intactpartsaresenttoMETASYSwithouttechnicalnecessity,METASYSisentitledtodestroythemwithout
separatepayment.Thenewpartcorrespondingtotheparttobedestroyedisonlydeliveredafteraseparateorderandinvoice.Inanycase,METASYShasthe
righttohandletheguaranteethroughcreditnoteorthereturnofnewpartswithoutconductingrepairs.Guaranteeservicesdonotresultinanextensionofthe
warrantyperiodnordotheyinitiateanewwarrantyperiod.Thewarrantyperiodforinstalledreplacementpartsendswiththatfortheoriginallydelivereddevice.The
METASYScustomerisobligatedtomakehiscustomerawareoftheconditionsregardingthewarrantyprocessing.Thestatutorywarrantyrightsofthecustomer
remain unaffected.
