Cleaning the electrical contacts of the
dosing drive
Clean the electrical contacts on the dosing
drive. Proceed in accordance with the proce-
dure for the electrical contacts on the cylinder
unit.

Checking the cylinder and piston

Check the cylinder and the piston for the following defects:
■ Are rough areas or scratches visible on the cylinder?
■ Are scratches visible on the piston surface?
■ Are unevennesses visible on the sealing lips of the piston?
If one of these defects is visible, replace the entire cylinder unit.
Greasing and inserting the piston
Prerequisites:
■ The cylinder and the piston are clean and in impeccable status.
Greasing the piston
NOTE
Grease only the edge of the piston.
The tip of the piston must not be greased.
Using your finger, carefully apply a trace of par-
affin grease (6.02803.010) to the exterior of
the sealing lips of the piston.
