• A drain valve should be incorporated in the inlet pipe. A floor channel should also be
provided directly beneath it for recovering the waste slurry.
• Secure the pump inlet and outlet pipes separately to avoid unnecessary transmission
of vibrations, forces or moments to the pump.
• Use expansion joints for high-pressure applications.
