  If your Miele Iron displays the message 'Unplug at mains' due to an electronic fault, switch it off at the wall socket and remove the plug. After a short wait, reinsert the plug and switch the iron back on. The system will attempt to correct the fault. If the message persists, switch off and unplug again, then contact Miele Service.

  If your Miele Iron displays the message 'Drain valve fault Switch off/on' because the descaling or rinsing processes were not carried out properly, press the power button to switch the steam ironing system off and then back on again. If the fault message continues to be displayed, contact Miele Service.
