2.3 Using the SP1b
Programming should only be conducted by competent
personnel with in-depth knowledge of PGDT electronic
controllers. Incorrect programming could result in an unsafe
set-up of a vehicle for a user. PGDT accept no liability for
losses of any kind if the programming of the controller is
altered from factory pre-set values. Chapter 1 section 3.
2.4 Diagnostics
When the SP1 is connected to a controller, the electromagnetic
compatibility (E.M.C.) performance of the vehicle may be
affected. Disconnect the SP1 as soon as programming is
complete and do not use the SP1 in environments which are
E.M.C. sensitive. Chapter 1 section 3.1.2.
2.5 Forward Decel’n & Reverse Decel’n ?
It is the responsibility of the scooter manufacturer to ensure
that the emergency stopping distance is within the distance
specified for the country in which the scooter will be used.
For countries requiring CE marking this is as specified in
EN12184.. Chapter 1 section 4.3 & 4.4.
2.6 Soft-Stop
Never set to greater than 70% of the total motor, cable and
connector resistance. Chapter 1 section 5.2.
2.7 Soft-Stop
If this function is on, you must ensure that the emergency
stopping distance is within the distance specified for the
country in which the wheelchair will be used. For countries
requiring CE marking this is as specified in EN12184. Chapter
1 section 5.14.
