Overview

The MiniFinder Pico is a compact GPS tracking device designed for monitoring, protecting, and locating loved ones remotely. It features a built-in 8 MB flash memory that stores GPS information when GSM network coverage is unavailable, automatically transmitting the data once coverage is restored. This function depends on an additional MiniFinder GO service.

Function Description:

The MiniFinder Pico is a versatile tracking device with several key functions:

  • Real-time Tracking: Monitors GPS devices in real-time through the MiniFinder GO APP.
  • Alarm Notifications: Sends alarm notifications for various events, including Geofence alarms, Fall alarms, SOS/Panic alarms, Low battery alarms, and Speeding alarms. These notifications are sent to the user's phone or tablet screen, with optional audio alerts, vibration, and flashing alarms.
  • Two-way Communication: Allows users to make and receive calls from the device to authorized phone numbers.
  • Positioning History: Records and displays the device's positioning history on a map, including total distance, total time, and max speed.
  • Power Saving Mode: Optimizes battery life by deactivating GPS and GSM modules when no alarm or event occurs, activating them only when needed.
  • Customizable Update Interval: The device's tracking update interval can be adjusted to balance tracking frequency with battery consumption.
  • Tag Function (Mark Places): Users can mark specific locations on the map with custom names, descriptions, icons, and even attached images.

Usage Features:

  • Device Activation:
    • Charge the device for 4 hours before first use.
    • Start the unit by pressing the ON/OFF button for 3 seconds.
    • Turn off the device by pressing and holding both the SOS and ON/OFF buttons for 3 seconds.
  • LED Indicators:
    • Green LED:
      • Slow blink (1 sec): Searching for GSM network.
      • Single blink (3 sec): Connected to GSM network.
      • Double blink (3 sec): Connected to GPRS network.
      • Steady light: No or faulty SIM card.
    • Blue LED:
      • Slow blink (1 sec): Searching for GPS signal.
      • Single blink (3 sec): Connected to satellite.
      • Steady blink: Charging.
      • No light: Sleep mode or fully charged.
  • MiniFinder GO APP:
    • Download the "MiniFinder GO GPS Tracking" app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
    • Device Status: Displays the device's online status (Green: online, Orange: passive, Red: passive for over an hour, White: offline).
    • Action Menu: Accesses history, call function, and settings for each device.
    • History Tracking: View past positions, including start/end points, specific selected positions, and detailed statistics (total distance, time, max speed).
    • Call Function: Initiate a call to the device from the app.
    • Rename Device: Customize the device's name within the app settings.
    • Authorize Telephone Numbers: Set up to two authorized phone numbers for calls and alarms. Number 1 is the primary alarm receiver, and Number 2 receives calls from the call button.
    • Fall Alarm: Enable a fall detection alarm that sends notifications to the app. To end an ongoing fall alarm, press the SOS button once.
    • Low Battery Alarm: Receive notifications when the device's battery level drops below 20%.
    • SOS/Panic Alarm: Press and hold the panic/emergency button for 3 seconds to activate. The device will beep, the green light will blink, and an SOS message will be sent to the app. The device will then dial authorized numbers in chronological order until an alarm receiver connects. To end the call, press the panic/emergency button.
    • Speeding Alarm: Set a maximum speed limit, triggering an alarm if exceeded.
    • Power Saving Mode: Activate deep sleep mode to conserve battery.
    • Position Update Interval: Adjust the frequency of position updates (e.g., 30 sec, 1 min, 2 min, 3 min intervals).
    • Comments: Add additional information or notes about your MiniFinder device within the app.
    • Geofence Alarm: Create virtual boundaries on the map. An alarm is triggered if the device enters or leaves a defined area, sending notifications, ringing, and an email.
    • Tag Function (Mark Places): Long-press on the map to mark specific locations with custom details and images.
    • APP Settings: Configure various app settings, including map type, screen-alive function, tooltip display, alarm settings, email notifications, and language.
    • User Manuals: Access user manuals for all MiniFinder products within the app.

Maintenance Features:

  • Charging: Use the provided Micro USB charging cable and charging station. The blue LED indicates charging, and turns off when fully charged.
  • Safety Instructions:
    • Read and follow all instructions and warnings.
    • Do not open the unit or tamper with it.
    • Do not use abrasive cleaners.
    • Avoid extreme temperatures, saunas, direct sunlight, or open flames.
    • Do not throw the device in fire as the battery can explode.
    • Do not attempt to disassemble the device; it contains non-replaceable components.
    • Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age due to small components.
  • Battery Precautions:
    • Do not attempt to open or replace the built-in battery.
    • Charge the battery according to instructions using only a CE certified charger (not a "Fast Charger") or a certified computer, hub, or power supply.
  • Recycling: Dispose of the product separately from ordinary household waste at recycling centers to conserve natural resources.
