Error Messages
In the event of a problem, the CHROMA METER may display an error message. The follow-
ing table shows the messages that may appear, their causes, and what you should do in
response.
Unit error.
Displayed at time of power-on if the body
and head are not properly connected.

Set the power switch to OFF and then back
to ON. If the message reappears, contact
the nearest Minolta-authorized service fa-
cility.

Err
EEPROM error.
Error in the data stored in the head’s
EEPROM.
Set the power switch to OFF and then back
to ON. If the message reappears, contact
the nearest Minolta-authorized service fa-
cility.
Setting error. Attempted to set a value that
was out of range.
Check the valid range, and make settings
accordingly.

Communication error.
Error in communication between body and
head.
Check for incorrect connection. If connec-
tions appear to be correct, contact the near-
est Minolta-authorized service facility.
