FOCUS RANGE
SPECIAL FOCUSING SITUATIONS
The camera may not be able to focus in certain situations (see below). If the autofocus
system cannot focus on a subject, the focus lamp (green) will blink. Use the focus-lock
function to focus on another object at the same distance as your main subject, then
recompose to take the picture.
2 The subject within the focus
frame is low in contrast.
1 The subject is too dark.
3 Two subjects at different
distances overlap in the focus
frame.
4 The subject is near a very
bright object or area.
Normal Focusing Mode
Macro Focusing Mode p. 32
0.6m - (2 ft. - )
0.3m - 0.6m (1 ft. - 2 ft.)
The green focus lamp will blink to indicate that the subject is not within the
focus range.
