1 Confirm that the green focus lamp is not lit or blinking and then drag the mass-
storage device icon and drop it into the trash.
• The icon will reappear on the desktop.
2 Disconnect the USB cable.
• If the USB cable is disconnected before performing step 1, an alert message will
appear. Always complete the first step 1 before disconnecting the USB cable.
For Windows 2000 Professional
To disconnect the camera, double click on the unplug-or-eject-hardware
icon located on the task bar. The unplug-or-eject-hardware window will
open.
The hardware devices to be stopped
will be displayed. Click “Stop.”
A confirmation screen will
appear. Clicking “OK” will stop
the device.
Click “OK.” The camera can
now be safely disconnected
from the computer.
