Appendix 2 Processing Time
Link scan time
Use the following formulas to calculate the link scan time.
MELSEC iQ-R, MELSEC-Q/L
Use the following formula to calculate the link scan time (Ls).

Nm = KM1 + (KM2  (N - 1))
*1 When a timeout or disconnection has been detected, the timeout time set in the link scan setting parameter will be the link scan time.

*2 The time indicates the reference response time of the slowest slave station among all of the connected slave stations. Note, however,
that the timeout time set in parameter will be the processing time of the slave station when a timeout occurs.
■Constant values
The following table lists the constant values for each series.
*1 When the number of connected slave stations increases, the value may be doubled (0.44) at most.

n1 = Value obtained by rounding up the calculated value of ((Ns + Nm)  SM) to the nearest whole number
