The pulses

a pulse generator which is directly connected

a DC motor driving a 
winding machine, are counted by the high speed counter module AISD61 
to 
detect 
the  number

present  windings.  The  PLC  calculates  the  speed  through  an 
arithmetic operation on the basis 
of 
the number 
of 
windings, depending on the type 
of 
the 
wound material 
to 
obtain a constant surface speed and gives a command 
to 
the  variable speed controller of the  DC motor using an  analog output from  the 
analog output module AIS62DA. Surface speed 
is 
set by an external digital switch.
