■ Setting the reference (INC measurement system)

Press [ZERO/ABS].

» Switches to the INC measurement system (this also sets
the display to zero).

Set the reference.
1 Loosen the clamp knob.
2 Loosen the clamp screw.
3 Turn the probe unit up/down wheel, and lower the stylus to a position near the surface of the reference.
4 Adjust the position of the workpiece.

5 Turn the probe unit up/down wheel, and slowly bring the stylus into contact with the reference until there is a
"beep" sound.

» The reference will be set, and the
height relative to the set reference
will be displayed in the top row of
the display.
