Getting Started

Place the charging station

Affix charging station to floor/wall with adhesive tape. Ensure stability.

Charge the Battery

Connect Scout to charging station. 4 blue LEDs indicate charging status and completion.

Powering Scout On & Off

Press 'On & OFF' for 2s to power on, hold 3s to power off. Auto-boots in station.

Reset

Long-press 'RESET' (>8s) to restore factory settings and unbind the robot.

Recovery

Restore factory settings by pressing 'RESET' and 'POWER' simultaneously for >3s.

Connecting Scout

Connect Scout via Wi-Fi Direct or Wi-Fi Router mode using a smartphone or tablet.

Download Scout App

Download 'Moorebot Scout' app from Google Play/App Store for Android/iOS.

Connect to Scout

Connect via Wi-Fi Direct (robot_scout_XXXXXX) or Wi-Fi Router mode using home Wi-Fi.

Sign up your Moorebot Account

Follow app instructions to set up account for registration/control. Verify email address.

Connecting to Scout via Wi-Fi Direct

Turn on robot, ensure it's in charging station, follow app for Wi-Fi Direct connection.

Connect via remote WiFi

Connect to 'robot_scout_XXXXXX' Wi-Fi, use default password, grant 'local access' for iOS, set new password.

Connecting Scout to your Home Wi-Fi Network

Over-The-Air (OTA) update

Check settings for firmware updates. OTA updates may take minutes and require a reboot.

Controlling Scout with live video

Wi-Fi Status and Robot Control Icons

Icons describe Wi-Fi status, charging, patrol paths, track/follow, motion detect, photo, and speaker controls.

Set up a Patrol

Setup Detect for Motion, Human Body, Dogs, and Cats
