SAFETY OPERATION
PTO HOOKUP
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE
AREA BEHIND YOUR TRAC-
TOR IS CLEAR BEFORE
BACKING UP TO CHIPPER.
1. Align tractor 3-way hitch arms to
the mounting brackets on the chipper.
Pin and secure chipper to tractor hitch
arms.
2. Slide the PTO driveshaft onto the
splined shaft of your tractor.
DANGER: NEVER ATTACH OR
REMOVE THE DRIVESHAFT
WITH THE PTO DRIVE EN-
GAGED. WAIT UNTIL PTO
DRIVE COMES TO A COM-
PLETE STOP BEFORE ENTER-
ING DRIVE AREA.
3. Hook up the adjustable upper link
arm (not supplied), and adjust so
the chipper infeed is horizontal to
the ground.
CAUTION: ONLY OPERATE
CHIPPER ON A LEVEL SUR-
FACE IN AN AREA THAT IS
FREE OF OBSTACLES.
