7. Maintenance
WARNING
• Before proceeding with maintenance, carefully read section “2. Safety”.
• For engine maintenance, refer to the engine maintenance manual.
7.1 Refuelling
• Use fuel and lubricants according to the ambient temperature.
7.1.1 Fuel
• Onlyusegasolineandllthetankwithcleanfuel.
• Keeptheengineoduringrefuelling.
• Fill the fuel tank up to the lower edge of the maximum level, and immediately dry any spilled fuel.
7.1.2 Engine oil
• Toensureadequateprotectionoftheengineandkeepitecientforalongtime,useonlydetergentoil
for4-strokeautomotiveengines.Usingdierentoilscanreducethelifeoftheengine.
• The viscosity must be appropriate to the ambient temperature.
• TheoiltobeusedmustcomplywithAPISJspecicationsorsubsequent(orequivalent)specications.
Refuelling and checks
WARNING
• Before refuelling, read “2.8 Precautions during fuel and engine oil lling” carefully.
• Do not introduce more oil than indicated in the engine manual. Combustion of excess oil may
result in increased engine revolutions.
