1.
Open the   Moto Secure app and touch Security & privacy.
Or, go to Settings > Security & privacy.
2. Touch Device lock.

Next to Screen lock, touch  .
4.
Touch Make pattern visible off  .
If you're using a PIN screen lock, make it harder for someone to see the PIN you enter by scrambling the 
order of the numbers on the PIN pad:
1.
Open the   Moto Secure app and touch Security & privacy.
Or, go to Settings > Security & privacy.
2. Touch Device lock.
3.
Next to Screen lock, touch  .
4.
Turn PIN pad scramble on  .
Hide passwords
To control whether characters briefly display when you enter a password to unlock your phone or log into 
websites and apps:
1.
Open the   Moto Secure app and touch Privacy controls.
Or, go to Settings > Security & privacy > Privacy > Privacy controls.
2.
Turn Show passwords off  .
Unlock with trusted devices
Set up trusted devices
You can keep your phone unlocked when it is connected to a trusted device, like your Bluetooth watch or 
car.
1. Make sure you have:
•
Set a screen lock on the phone.
•
Turned on Bluetooth on the phone.
•
Paired your phone with the device.
2. Go to Settings .
3. Touch Security & privacy > More security settings > Smart Lock.
If you don't see Smart Lock, try the following:
•
Update Google Play services. In the Google Search widget on your home screen, search for “Google 
Play services”, then touch the app to open it in Google Play.
•
Go to Settings > Security & privacy > More security settings > Trust agents and enable Smart 
Lock.
