Signal Strength Indicator Shows the strength of your phone’s
connection with the network.
You cannot make or answer calls when the no signal” indicator is
displayed.
GPRS Indicator Indicates that your phone is using
a high-speed GPRS network connection (

allows faster data transfer speeds. The indicator does
not mean that you are in a call; only that you are
registered on the network via a GPRS connection.

Roam Indicator Appears when your phone uses
another network system outside your home network.
When you leave your home network area, your phone

or seeks another network. Icons here can also
indicate your text entry mode (alpha, numeric, symbol,
etc.)
Text Entry Indicator Indicates your Text Entry Method
whenever you are in a text editor (Tap, iTap, etc.). See page 30.
Message Indicator Indicates when you have an
active Chat session, or when you have a new voice or
text message waiting.
