DISPLAY ICONS
Radio icons are shown on the top of the screens 
as shown below.
The following are descrption of icons seen on 
the screen.
Turning Radio ON/OFF
To turn ON the radio, rotate the On/Off/Volume 
Knob clockwise.
To turn the radio OFF, rotate the On/Off/Volume
Knob counterclockwise until you hear a ‘click’.
Adjusting Volume
Turn the On/Off/Volume Knob clockwise to 
increase the volume, or counterclockwise to
decrease the volume. 
Note: Do not hold the radio too close to the ear 
when it is at a high volume setting or when 
adjusting the volume setting.
Menu Options
To access the radio menu, short press the 
MENU button. 
Press the Left or Right Navigation buttons to 
toggle the menus.
At Home screen, press the Left or Right 
Navigation button to display the current 
frequency, code and channel index.
Selecting A Channel
To select a channel, at the Home screen, press 
the navigate to left or right twice to select the 
channel.
Receiving A Call
Make sure the PTT button is released and
listen for voice activity.
To respond, hold the radio vertically one to two 
inches (2.5 to 5cm) from mouth. Press the PTT 
button to talk; release it to listen.
Making a Call from CONTACTS menu
1 Press the Menu button and navigate to
CONTACTS.
2 Use Navigation buttons to scroll across the 
list of selections available.
3 Once the radio displays the required Call ID,
press PTT button to make your call.

The number of bars (0 – 3) 
shown indicates the charge 
remaining in the battery.
2. Scan is enabled.

VOX/iVOX is enabled. During 
activation, without VOX 
accessories, the radio is in 
iVOX mode, you can speak to 
the radio  microphone without 
pressing PTT. When used 
together with VOX 
accessories, you can speak to 
accessories microphone 
without holding PTT from radio 
or accessories.
