Auger Transmission
NOTE:
NOTE: The auger transmission on this model is generally
replaced as a complete unit. See Figure 4.32.
• The complete transmission assembly is relatively inexpen-
sive.
• All parts are available, but they are not described in the
Illustrated Parts List.
• Circumstances that may merit rebuilding an auger trans-
mission:
-The damage may be minimal
-The shop may repair lightly damaged transmissions during
slack times, so they have rebuilt transmissions on-hand.
-If complete transmissions are on back-order, but parts are available, a repaired transmission will work.
-Keeping some parts on the shelf gives shops the ability to make repairs with minimal investment in inventory.
