Attaching The Steering Wheel
If the steeringwheelfor yourtractordid notcome
attached,thehardwarefor attachingit hasbeenpacked
withinthesteeringwheel,beneaththe steeringwheel
cap.Carefullypry off thesteeringwheelcapand remove
thehardware.
1. With the wheels of the tractor pointing straight
forward, placethe steeringwheeloverthesteering
shaft.
2. Placethe washer(withthecuppedsidedown)over
thesteeringshaftandsecurewiththehexbolt.See
Fig.3-3.
3. Placethe steeringwheelcap overthecenterofthe
steeringwheelandpushdownwarduntilit "clicks"into
place.
Attaching the Hood Scoop
(if so equipped)
If the hoodscoopwasnotsecuredto thehoodofyour
tractorat the factory,youwillfinditin a plasticbag,
hangingfromthe throttlelever.
Toinstall:
1. Carefullypivotthetractorhoodforward.
2. Removethe fourscrewsfromtheundersideof the
hoodscoop.
3. Lineup thefourholesin the hoodscoopwiththefour
holes visiblethroughthe tractor'shoodIouvres.See
Figure3-4.
4. While holdingthe scoopin place,usea 3/8" socket
wrench(orboxwrench)tocarefullytightenthe scoop
ontothehood.
DoNOTovertighten.
