Fuel prefilter – Flushing
Note: Only in the case of double fuel prefilter:
1. Cut out the contaminated filter.

2 Right filter cut in
2. Open threaded vent plug (5) of filter to be
flushed.
3. Unlock drain valve (6) by pressing toggle,
open it and drain fuel.
Result: Fuel flows from filtered side back to the unfil-
tered side, flushing the filter deposits down-
wards out of the filter.
4. Close threaded vent plug (5) and drain
valve (6).
Fuel prefilter – Filling with fuel
1. Remove screws securing cover and take off cover (2).
2. Fill filter housing with clean fuel.
3. Place new seal in cover (2).
4. Fit cover with seal and secure it with screws.
5. Check differential pressure (→ Page 103).
Result: If flushing did not lead to an improvement of the differential pressure, replace filter element (→ Page 109).
