6.4.1 Valve clearance – Checking and adjusting
Preconditions
☑ Engine is stopped and starting disabled.
☑ Engine coolant temperature is max. 40 °C.
☑ Valves are closed.

Preparatory steps
1. Remove cover plate (2).
2. Remove cylinder head cover (→ Page 118).
3. Bar engine manually in engine direction of
rotation until the markings (1) are aligned.
