3.10Set-upandrunningchecks
1. Ensure the shut-off va
lves are closed.
2. Connect the reactivat
ion heater to the steam supply.
3. Open the steam supply
valves.
4. Check that correct st
eam supply pressure is indicated on the manometer.
5. Check that there are
no leaks from the coil or the pipe connections.
6. Check that the the
rmometer is indicating a temperature relevant to the line pressure.
7. Open the control v
alve manually, ver y slow ly, to test the condensation evacuation system.
3.11 Ductinstallation
3.11.1 Generalrecommendations
The connections for process and reactivation air are designed in accordance with the recommendations in
ISO 13351. The rectangular duct connections contain tapped inserts for M8 screws.
NOTE!
Thedehumidifierhasbeendesigned tooperate atspecific processairflowscorresponding tothe fan
sizesinstalled.
When installing ductwork between the dehumidier and the inlet and outlet connections, the following
recommendations should be observed:
Thelengt
h of ductwork should be ke pt as short as possible to m inimise static air pressure losses.
To mainta
in perfor mance, all rigid process or reactivat ion air ductwork joints must be air and vapour
tight.
Theproc
ess air ductwork must be insulated t o prevent condensation developing on the outside of the
duct, w
henever the temperature of the air within the duct falls below the dewpoint temperature of the
ambien
t air through which the ductwork is routed.
Theduc
ts must always be insulated when there is a risk of freezing.
Thewe
t air leaving the dehumidier w ill, because of high moisture content, condense on the inside duct
wall
s. By insulating the ducts, the amount of condensate is reduced.
