4.2.2 Settingtheratedairflows
Process fan control with fixed speed
1. Calculate the cor responding differential pressures for the actual process and reactivat ion airflows. Use
the formula and the fan coefficients in section 4.2.3, Base configuration settings.
2. Star t the unit by setting the mode switch in position MAN.
3. Connect a manometer to the pressure nipple on the proces s f an. Measure and record the differential
pressure.
4. Compare the measured differential pressure w ith the calculated value.
5. Adjust the settings for the proce ss airflow in the control system, so the m easured differential pressure
value corresponds to the calculated value.
6. Connect the manometer to the pressure nipple on the reactivation fan. Repeat the procedure in step 3–5
to set the actual reactivation airflow.
NOTE!
Theactual airflowisdependantonthe temperatureatthe fanoutlet.
Process fan control w ith variable speed
1. Star t the unit by setting the mode switch in position AUTO.
2. Set t he required process airflow or process air pressure in the control system.
3. Measure the actual process airflow external to the dehumidifier using exter nal, calibrated test
equipment.
4. If necessar y, adjust the settings for process airfl ow or process air pressure in the control system.
5. Set t he required reactivation airflow in the control system.
6. Measure the actual reactivation airflow exte rnal to the dehumidi fier using external, calibrated test
equipment.
7. If necessa ry, adjust the settings for the react ivation airflow in the contro l system.
