Functional description for control unit ED520
The Door must be operated 3 full cycles (hold to run mode) in order to adjust the speed control
encoder and the display is indicating the cycles that are accomplished and when 3 full cycles are
done the display briefly indicates "S=" to indicate that the values are stored. Make sure that the 3
full cycles are done without making any unnecessary stops.
When the desired run-in is accomplished, the green LD1 on the control unit is indicating that the
run-in is completed and the door control unit will behave like the power was off and make a power
fail sequence the first time the up or down button is activated.
When that is done the door is in normal mode and ready to operate.
The sequence must be followed or else the door controller will not be adjusted and the sequence must
be done again from the beginning. Dying the run-in the following parameters is also automatically stored
and that is the reversing point, and the position height of the photocells.
6.9 Motor stop limit
The motor stop limit is the place in which the door controller is turning the motor off before the door leaf
is reaching the bottom. It is possible to change this setting for the motor stop limit.
If an adjustment is mated, make sure to check for lose wires, the bottom sealing and safety edge signal.
The motor stop limit can be adjusted under comfort setting 14-a.
After selection of the function, the display will indicate the present adjustment.
The value is indicated in pulses and the interval can now be increased by pressing SW1 or decreased
by pressing SW2.
When the desired value is reached, SW1 or SW 2 is activated for 3 seconds in order to store the chosen
value, and the display briefly indicates "S=" to indicate that the value is stored.
The motor stop limit is adjustable from 0 pulses to 40 pulses.
The following (p) intervals are available for adjusting of the motor stop limit:
0p – 2p – 4p – 6p – 8p – 10p – 12p – 14p – 16p – 18p – 20p – 22p – 24p – 26p – 28p – 30p – 32p – 34p
– 36p – 38p – 40p.
6.10 Setting of basic adjustment for comfort functions
The basic adjustment is selected under function 10-a.
After selection of the function, the display indicates the present setting.
The factory setting can now be increased by pressing SW1 or decreased by pressing SW2.
When the desired value is reached, SW1 or SW 2 is activated for 3 seconds in order to store the chosen
value, and the display briefly indicates "S=" to indicate that the value is stored.
K0 until K7 is basis settings of comfort functions opportunities.
