Functional description for control unit ED520
6.2 Setting of carwash function
The activation time of the photocell is set under function 5-a.
After selection of the function, the display indicates the present setting.
The time of the photocell can now be increased by pressing SW1 or decreased by pressing SW2.
When the desired value is reached, SW1 or SW 2 is activated for 3 seconds in order to store the chosen
value, and the display briefly indicates "S=" to indicate that the value is stored.
The time of the photocell is adjustable from 0.3 to 14 seconds.
LD1 indicates that the seconds are adjusted, and LD2 indicates adjustment of 1/10 seconds.
The following time intervals are available for setting of the photocell time:
0,3s – 1s – 2s – 4s – 6s – 8s – 10s – 12s – 14s.
Factory setting for automatic closing is 1 second.
6.3 Setting of time for forced closing at carwash
The time interval for forces closing in connection with carwash function is set under function 6-a.
After selection of the function, the display indicates the present setting.
The time interval can now be increased by pressing SW1 or decreased by pressing SW2.
When the desired value is reached, SW1 or SW 2 is activated for 3 seconds in order to store the chosen
value, and the display briefly indicates "S=" to indicate that the value is stored.
The time of the photocell is adjustable from 1 to 35 minutes.
LD1 indicates that the seconds are adjusted, and LD2 indicates adjustment of minutes.
The following time intervals are available for setting of forced closing:
1m – 2m – 3m – 4m – 6m – 8m – 10m – 15m – 20m – 25m – 30m – 35m.
The factory setting for forced closing is 10 minutes.
6.4 Programmable opening height
Setting of programmable opening height is done directly by means of the control buttons of the
controlling unit.
Programming is done as follows:
• Close the door completely
• The change-over switch ½-OPEN is set in the position "½"
• With the door in closed position, the DOWN button is activated three times at short intervals
• Then constantly press the UP button until the desired position is reached.
• Finally the door is closed by constantly activation of the DOWN-button, until the door stops at the
bottom limit value. The control unit will move in steps until the door is in completely closed
position.
• Only if the complete programming sequence is accomplished, the time interval of the opening
height is stored
