(5) Beat Counter: Represents the current internal Beat Count position of the Remix Deck. Syn-
chronization and Quantize functions are based on this value.
(6) Remix Deck Tempo: Displays the current tempo of the Remix Deck.

5.2. Mixer
Sitting in the middle of the TRAKTOR KONTROL S4 controller, the Mixer receives the audio sig-
nals coming from Decks. There is one channel for each Deck. The Mixer’s purpose is to adjust the
relative level of each channel, to control the channels’ frequency content, possibly feeding them
into the FX Units before sending the overall result to the Master output — and in the end, to gener-
ate the mix that is sent to your audience. The Mixer also provides you with a crossfader, which
allows you to make seamless transitions between various channels.
Mixer.
(1) Mixer Channel A ,B, C, D: Audio Signals coming from TRAKTOR's Decks are fed into the Mix-
er Channels. The Mixer Channels allow you to adjust the audio signals’ volumes and to manipulate
the sound. Any Mixer Channel can be individually assigned to FX Units. For more information, re-
fer to Mixer Channel.
