SECTION 1.8: CONTROL AND MONITOR WIRING
This section describes the types of control and monitoring for the VX150 to VX2 transmitter. All
connections are made to the rear panel of the transmitter (see Figure 1.7.1: on page 1.7.5). Consider the
following information and plan for the necessary requirements (wiring, remote switches/ indicators,
LAN, etc.):

Front Panel UI Control
The VX1’s front panel user-interface (UI) lets you locally control a number of transmitter functions and
set parameters.
For detailed information about the front panel UI, refer to the VX Operating and Maintenance Manual.
In addition, the front panel UI lets you define and control the on/off status, the preset RF power level,
and the system alarm reset remotely using a conventional remote control interface (see Remote Inputs -
see page 1.8.2 and Remote Outputs - see page 1.8.4) or a LAN (see Web Based AUI Control - see
page 1.8.7.
