HEART RATE CONTROL PROGRAMS
Heart Rate Training Workouts
The Heart Rate Control programs are designed to monitor your heart rate and automatically adjust the workout intensity
to keep you at a specific heart rate. This is done by changing the treadmill’s incline. Your heart rate transmitter belt
must always be worn while using any of the heart rate control programs.
Heart Rate Control Weight Loss
(65% MHR) Program Set-Up
This program is designed to keep you exercising
at 65% of your maximum heart rate. Your maxi-
mum heart rate is an approximation and is deter-
mined by subtracting your age from 220.
Example:
User is 40 years of age:
220 – 40 = 180 (180 beats per minute
would be the approximate maximum heart rate for a 40 year old user.)
180 x 65% = 117 (117 beats per minute would be the default target heart rate for a 40 year old user in this pro-
gram.)

LE DISPLAY PROGRAM OVERVIEW AND SETUP
The target heart rates calculated by the treadmill are
based on average fitness of persons of the age indicated.
You may be more or less fit, and your actual maximum
and target heart rate may be correspondingly higher or
lower. You should therefore consult your physician for
the maximum heart rate that is right for you and the heart
rates that you can safely exercise at.
