When the printer characters become faint, it may be
because:
●
The ribbon is jammed
●
The ribbon has dried out (possibly because the
cassette has been stored in the wrong conditions - see
Chapter 8)
●
The ribbon character life has been exceeded (State of
Health will report when the ribbon character life has
almost expired).
To replace the printer ribbon proceed as follows:
1 Open the exterior of the ATM.
2 If your ATM does not have the auto-supervisor
option, press the switch on the operator panel to the
SUPERVISOR position.
