The

may use an error reporting system
called State Of Health (SOH) reporting. SOH reporting is
designed to tell you how "healthy" your terminal is. SOH
reporting not only reports error conditions, it also
reports when a module, for example the card reader or a
printer module, requires to be replenished or replaced.
If all the modules in your ATM are healthy, that is no
module requires to be replenished or replaced, a
TERMINAL HEALTHY
message will be displayed. If there is
a module that requires attention, a message stating the
module name and a description of the problem is
displayed. If there is more than one message to be
displayed, each message will be displayed in turn for a
few seconds.
The 4-digit number which appears alongside the SOH
message is a message identification number. If you have
to call a service engineer at any time, quote the SOH
message identification number as well as the message
text.
The asterisks (*) indicate the skill level required to fix
whatever problem is generating the current SOH
message, and also indicate which VERIFY SOH option
should be selected to clear the SOH message.
