Place the roll in the rear of the printer with the paper
feeding forward from underneath the roll.

Thread the leading edge of the paper roll under the
journal platen and then close the platen by pressing
down firmly.

When you close the platen a sample graphic should
be printed on the journal. If nothing is printed on the
paper when the platen is closed, the paper has
probably been loaded incorrectly. Check that the
paper is feeding forward from underneath the
supply roll (refer to Step 9).
