4. Milking with tandem milking parlour
With the MPC -2 the gates of the tandem milking parlour can be operated in 4
different ways. These are:
Manual operation tandem milking parlour
Semi - automatic tandem milking parlour
Full - automatic tandem milking parlour with or without sensor at the exit
4.1 Operation keys
The operation keys for the entrance and exit gates of the tandem box can be
connected in 2 ways. Depending on the way in which the cows enter the
tandem box, the keys operate the entrance or exit gate. Below is an overview
of the operation of the key s. In the next chapters about the tandem milking
parlour the operation keys are described in the situation where the cow enters
the tandem box at the right side.
With the keys 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the MPC- 2 you can change the function by
pressing and holding them for several seconds.
Key 3: Manual operation
Key 4: Semi - automatic operation
Key 5: Full - automatic operation
Key 6: Full - automatic operation without exit sensor

When the cow enters the tandem box at the right side , the
exit gate is oper ated with this key.
When a cow enters the tandem box at the left side , the
entrance gate is operated with this key.
When a cow enter the tandem box at the left side, the exit
gate is operated with this key.
When a cow enters the tandem box at the right side , the
entrance gate is operated with this key.
