Transition Networks Contra Converter Quick Setup Guide
Monitor > CES > Clocking > Summary
This page shows the overall clocking status for the CES.
The displayed items are:
CES Clocking Status
Lock Mode
The master DPLL lock mode in the CES hardware (e.g., Normal).
Mode Type
Slave or Master mode for ISDN clocking.
Clock Source
The clock source that the box is clocking from. This will either be a TDM port, CES clock
stream (logical link) or the Internal clock source.
CES Clocking Streams
This section shows the clock recovery status each available CES clock recovery stream. The actual
number of streams available depends on the product type.
Stream
CES clock recovery stream number. Stream number one corresponds to logical link one,
stream number two to logical link two, etc.
Status
Status of the clock recovery on the stream. Freerun indicates that the clock is not being
derived from any remote clock. Acquiring and Acquired indicate that the clock is tracking the
remote clock. The status will be acquiring during the initial phase of clock recovery, switching
to acquired when there is close correlation to the remote clock. Holdover indicates that the
clock is being held at the last known value because insufficient data is being received from
the remote box.
Mode
Shows whether clock recovery is running on the stream, and if so, which clock recovery
algorithm is in use.
