Powerline Music Extender XAU2511
Change the Name of a Powerline Device
Powerline devices are identified by their model number and name. Any Powerline devices
that are connected are detected by NETGEAR genie, and are shown on the Powerline Utility
screen. If you did not name the Music Extender, its AirMusic name appears below its model
number on the Powerline Utility screen.
 To name a Powerline device in your Powerline network:
1. On the
Powerline Utility screen, right-click the device you want to name.
A pop-up menu displays:
2. Select Device Name. A pop-up screen displays advising you that connectivity will be
temporarily lost while the device is being renamed.
3. Click OK. The following screen displays:
4. Enter a new name for the Powerline device, and click OK.
