The effects of skin softening are not visible when framing images for shooting.
Check the results in playback mode after taking images.

Option Description
S High When the shutter is released, the camera detects
one or more human faces (up to three), and
processes the image to soften facial skin tones
before saving the image. You can select the
amount of effect that is applied.
R Normal (default setting)
Q Low
p Off Turns skin softening off.
