New batteries
Purchase the new (freshest) batteries possible.
Temperature
Battery life ratings are based on operat ion at 20°C
(68 ° F ). At other temperatures, battery life is shortened.
For low temperature operation, keep spare batteries
and if possibl
e, use NiCd batteries.
Continuous use
Batteries are drained much more quickly by continu-
ous use than by intermittent use.
Storage
Store batteries in a cool, dry place be low 20°C (68°F).
Battery brand
Do not mix battery brands or model numbers, or new
and old batteries.
Disposal
Do not dispose of batteri es by burning, and never dis-
assemble
