43 - Sweep System, Side Broom
Functional Description
Pressing the right (or left) side broom button on the Main Control Board causes the corresponding
side broom to lower via the corresponding actuator, right (A2) or left (A3).
Each actuator is powered for 5 seconds, within which time it should reach the requested end stroke position
(each actuator has internal limit switches with bypass diodes).
In case of side impact, the system can return by means of a spring which absorbs the shock.
The broom is fastened to the reduction unit shaft with a safety pin.
The side broom motors turn only when the main broom is activated.
The side broom motors (M5 RHS, M6 LHS) are powered by the Main Machine Controller (EB1) at a voltage
which can be adjusted via the side broom speed adjustment buttons.
