4.1 Rack-mounting the Chassis
The following rack-mount options are supported:
• Rack-mounting the Chassis with Fixed Brackets, section 4.1.1
• Rack-mounting the Chassis with Slide Rails, section 4.1.2
4.1.1 Rack-mounting the Chassis with Fixed Brackets
Before starting this procedure, ensure that you have the following:
• additional screws and washers (not provided) for mounting the chassis
in a rack
• a screwdriver (Phillips or flathead, depending on the type of screws used)
• an available grounding point near the installation location
To rack-mount the 7750 SR ESA 100G with fixed rack-mount brackets:
Step 1. Attach the rack-mount brackets to the chassis with screws (supplied).
Step 2. Align the mounting holes on each bracket with the mounting holes on the
rack post. Insert a rack-mount screw into each mounting hole.
Tighten the rack-mount screws to a torque of 9 lbf-in (1.02 N·m) maximum.
Do not over-tighten.
Step 3. Ground the chassis to earth.
Note: The standard 19-inch rack is based on international standard EIA 310 E.
