■ Making a currency conversion
1. To set the exchange rate:
• Press (Options) and select Exchange rate.
• Select either of the displayed exchange options and press (OK).
For example, if you live in the UK and want to convert pounds sterling to
French francs, select Domestic unit expressed in foreign units.
• Key in the exchange rate and press (OK). inserts a decimal point.
2. To make the conversion:
• Key in the currency amount to be converted.
• Press (Options).
• Scroll to In domestic or In foreign and press (OK). In the example
above, you would select In foreign since you want to convert your domestic
currency (pounds sterling) to a foreign currency (francs).
■ Currency conversion in standby mode
You can make currency conversions in standby mode. To use this function you
need to first set the exchange rate in the Calculator menu.
1. Key in the amount that you want to convert to the domestic or foreign
currency. Press for a decimal point (an asterisk appears).
2. Press or twice. The text above changes from Call to Convert and
the asterisk changes to a decimal point.
