Refrigerant Charging — The packaged gas/electric units
are fully charged at the factory. The system refrigerant
charge can be checked and adjusted through the service
ports provided behind the service panel. Use only gauge
lines which have a “Schrader” depression device present to
actuate the valve. Refrigerant charging must be done by
qualified personnel familiar with safe and environmentally
responsible refrigerant handling procedures.

WARNING:
The gas/electric units are shipped fully charged
and ready for installation. When a system is
installed according to these instructions, no
refrigerant charging is required. If repairs make
it necessary for evacuation and charging, it
should only be done by qualified, trained
personnel thoroughly familiar with this
equipment. Some local codes require licensed
installation/service personnel to service this type
of equipment. Under no circumstances should
the owner attempt to install and/or service this
equipment. Failure to comply with this warning
could result in property damage, personal injury,
or death.
Routine Maintenance — Proper maintenance is important
to achieve optimum performance from the air conditioner.
The ability to properly perform maintenance on this equipment
requires certain mechanical skills and tools.
If you do not possess these skills, contact your dealer for
maintenance. Consult your local dealer about the availability
of maintenance contracts. At a minimum, routine
maintenance should include the following:
Air Filter — Inspect and clean or replace the air filter
every three to four weeks.

WARNING:
Never operate the unit without a filter in place.
Dust and lint in the return air can build up on
internal components, resulting in loss of
efficiency, equipment damage, and possible fire
risk.
Vent Cover Assembly — Inspect and clean the screen of
the vent cover assembly at the beginning of each heating
and cooling seasons.
Condensate Drain and Outdoor Coil — Inspect the
condensate drain and outdoor coil at the beginning of each
cooling season. Remove any debris. Clean the outdoor coil
