Homemade Mayonnaise
Ingredients:
1 egg yolk
¼ teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon lemon juice
¼ teaspoon white vinegar
¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon hot water
1½ cups canola oil, divided
Sea salt to taste
Tabasco sauce to taste
Directions:
1. Add egg yolk, mustard, lemon juice, vinegar, Worcestershire, warm water,
and ½ cup oil to blender.
2. Set blender to 10 and blend for 1 minute.
3. Slowly add oil while continuing to blend until mixture reaches thickness
of traditional mayonnaise.
4. Season with salt and Tabasco.
5. Refrigerate overnight.
